Purpose of the position

The position will (but not limited to):

  • Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, loaders, backhoes, etc.
  • Operate other small equipment.
  • Conduct flagging for traffic control.
  • Perform regular maintenance on trucks and equipment.
  • Follow all Lac La Biche County safety protocols and procedures.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Hold previous experience operating and providing basic maintenance on small and medium equipment
  • Have a Class 3 driver's license
  • Be able to lift up to medium and heavy items (50lbs+)
  • Possess good customer service, public relations, communications, and teamwork skills
  • Hold basic computer skills
  • Enjoy working outdoors and be comfortable working in adverse weather along with exposure to noise and fumes
  • Be familiar with safe working procedures working with equipment.


Position Details:

  • Permanent Full-Time
  • 2080 hours annually (8 hour work day) and may involve days, evenings, or weekends based on operational needs
  • Wage $28.30 to $39.50 hourly ($58,864.00 to $82,160.00 hourly)
