The Municipality is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators (Intern, Associate, Educator) (“ECE”) for the Kinkora Early Learning Center.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Programming, the ECE collaborates closely with all other members of the program team to design and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support each child’s unique development through play-based and inquiry-based approaches in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the centre and in compliance with the Early Learning and Child Care Act. The ECE plays a vital role in nurturing children’s creativity, curiosity, and independence while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. As an educator, the ECE will document each child's progress, support diverse learning needs, and work closely with families to build strong, positive relationships—mainly through face-to-face communication and our Class Dojo app, while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming space for children.
Who You Are
As an ideal candidate, you have a solid understanding of child development theories and best practices. You are a strong communicator, work well with others, and bring a team-first attitude to the workplace. You know how to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support each child’s growth socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. You are reliable, flexible, calm under pressure, and are able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy early learning center setting. Your warm, patient, and professional approach makes you a trusted and inspiring presence in the classroom. Most importantly, you have a genuine passion for working with young children, and you take pride in helping them explore, learn, and thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
