Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and classroom activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current in early childhood education practices.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Excellent time management abilities to balance teaching responsibilities and administrative tasks.
- Proficient in computer operation for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Experience working with children, particularly in an early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus for accommodating diverse learning needs.
- Bilingual skills are desirable, particularly in French, to support language development among students.
- Ability to write clear reports and communicate effectively with parents and staff members.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
