Are you looking for an exciting summer job working outdoors? You will work a scheduled 44 hours per week with various shifts that are designed to have effective manpower during the key times of our operation. These shifts will include very job-specific routines in the mornings and/or evenings.
You will be responsible for tasks that assure a smooth and flawless operation of various boat landings, along with the operations at the main lodge. Daily activities can include:
- preparing boats for daily fishing trips
- transporting fishing guides to various boat landings
- helping guests at the docks and at boat landings
- maintenance of the grounds at the main lodge and at all of the boat landings
- boat and motor equipment inventory and light maintenance
- boat setup, cleaning and positioning
- dump and town runs
- vehicle maintenance
- various painting/staining and light carpentry jobs
Requirements: You must possess good communication skills as you will be dealing with our guests, other yard staff and fishing guides, and your supervisors on a daily basis. You must have a valid drivers license. Mechanical experience is an asset. Dependability is of extreme importance, along with confidence to succeed. Housing is provided at no charge, you do your own cooking. You will also have access to boat rentals at no charge. Included with your pay is 4% holiday pay and generous gratuities (paid out in cash every pay period). We offer direct deposit and pay on the 15th and end of every month.
