JOB OVERVIEW:
The dishwasher at D Spot Dessert Café must keep the dishes and all other kitchen equipment, utensils and small wares in the most acceptable and hygienic standards. Wash, clean and sanitize tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room, back room and equipment clean and organized.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report any mechanical problems immediately
- Load, run and unload dishwasher
- Responsible to help bus tables for servers during peak hours
- Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
- Wash and store all dishes
- Remove all waste from back room and place bags in the garbage room
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage
- Duties as assigned
- Pull items from fridge and freezer as needed
- Prep and stock as needed/if required to do so
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience is an asset
- Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Must be a team player
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must be able to list up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key
- Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
- Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$17.60 per hour
