Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Help cooks with basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours by efficiently managing tasks to ensure timely service.
- Stock kitchen supplies and assist in inventory management as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
