Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain its cleanliness.
- Assist in food preparation by washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables as needed.
- Help maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Dispose of waste properly and assist with recycling efforts.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff by providing necessary items during food preparation.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Willingness to help others and contribute positively to the kitchen team.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
