Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our food service operations. This position is essential to ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, allowing our culinary team to focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing machines and hand wash pots, pans, and utensils as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Sort, stack, and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required by the kitchen staff.
- Dispose of waste and maintain a clean work environment throughout the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Skills
- Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a hospitality setting.
- Willingness to help others and take on additional tasks as needed within the restaurant or hotel operations.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
