Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Dishwasher / Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our fast-paced restaurant by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. While your primary duties will involve dishwashing and general cleaning, this position also offers the opportunity to participate in food prep and learn the fundamentals of line cooking as part of your growth within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen by regularly cleaning floors, countertops, sinks, and trash areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients) as needed.
- Properly store clean dishes and kitchen tools in designated areas.
- Dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with sanitation procedures.
- Ensure kitchen staff have timely access to clean equipment and tools during service.
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards consistently.
- Be open to training opportunities in food preparation and line cooking, with the goal of growing within the kitchen team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is an asset but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-focused setting.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills in a professional kitchen setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
