Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced Indian restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to food safety standards and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus, as it may enhance team collaboration during busy shifts.
