Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen team and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Support the kitchen staff by keeping the work area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow during busy service periods.
Skills
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is a plus.
- Familiarity with food service operations and food handling guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous for understanding guest service expectations.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
