Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall success of our food service operations, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards.
- Help organize and restock supplies in the kitchen to ensure efficiency during service hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
