Position: Disability Support Worker
The Disability Support Worker will aid an adult with cerebral palsy to reach life goals and build connections to the community. Employees will give the individual support to contribute to the community in valuable ways through living independently in their homes, building relationships and having equal access to opportunities that many take for granted.
Duties:
· lifts/transfers
· light housework
· cooking
· personal hygiene
· driving.
Requirements:
· Class 5F driver’s license is a must, if you do not have this Class 5F Do not apply.
· Able to lift and carry 100 pounds short distances repeatedly throughout the day.
The client you will be working with is a university student, so university education is an asset. The client does have a tutor and aid help.
You must be punctual, have good organization skills , ability to work independently, a will to work and be professional in your actions.
You must be committed to working the following shifts that are available.
We are looking for an individual that can work a 3-5 daytime shifts per week that are from 8 am- 4pm weekly.
Job type:
Initial training then full time day shifts upon training completion.
Shift Available:
Day time shift is 8 am- 4 pm
