Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Director, Supply Chain Strategy at Arc’teryx, you play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction for our Global Supply Chain. This role will lead the development of long-term supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, deliver quality, optimize agility, and resilience across the end-to-end supply chain. This role aligns supply chain initiatives with Arc’teryx and Amer Sports initiatives, driving transformation programs, and leading cross-functional efforts to improve planning, sourcing, distribution, transportation, product development, and manufacturing performance.

Through your work, you will engage with teams across the global supply chain along with our business and commercial partners to deliver the strategic vision for supply chain and utilize strong business acumen to identify opportunities and implement best-in-class practices. You will work closely with the regional supply chain teams which will provide insight to build our global design, while influencing execution of the global supply chain strategy.

This role is based out of either our North Vancouver, BC office (preferred) or Portland, OR office, and is hybrid.

Our Supply Chain Excellence team operates as a powerful force, seamlessly integrating with our end-to-end supply chain business functions and across the Arc’teryx organization for maximum impact.

If you were the Director, Supply Chain Strategy now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Taking responsibility and ownership of Arc’teryx’s global supply chain strategy and leading the evolution of a comprehensive, long-term strategy that amplifies operational excellence as our organization expands and becomes more complex on a global scale
    • Developing, in partnership with the supply chain leadership team, the five-year roadmap for the organization along with a clear vision and plan to execute over that period
    • Leadership of supply chain strategic initiatives which have been aligned via the Arc’teryx long-term strategic plan (LTSP)
    • Ownership of the supply chain multi-horizon plan (MHP), which is the process to translate the long-term commercial vision to the supply chain, allowing for identification of key decisions, risks, and opportunities over the 5-year horizon
    • Supporting the Integrated Business Planning team during the tactical horizon as the supply chain strategy comes to life
    • Actively influence the business in operational excellence to build intentional, strategic roadmaps and participating in cross functional projects which could be ad hoc as the business continues to evolve to excellence
    • Identifying macroeconomic, geopolitical, and industry trends affecting supply chain operations and translate insights into actionable plans
    • Facilitate executive decision making through scenario planning, data analytics, and risk assessments
    • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and any other technical advancement opportunities
    • Project management leadership of key initiatives, including integrating our supply chain strategy into the different business strategies

    • Developing a 3–5-year supply chain roadmap and strategy to support the expected growth of our Global business
    • Leading the development and implementation of a multi-horizon planning process to unlock long-term visibility to risk, opportunities, and decision points
    • Supporting the Supply Chain team in the rollout of our End-to-End transformation

Are you our next Director, Supply Chain Strategy?

    • You have a University Degree and/or professional designation in a relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, etc.)
    • You have 10+ years’ experience in Consulting, Planning, Distribution, Sourcing or Manufacturing leadership roles
    • You have a proven record of developing and implementing strategies
    • You have knowledge of change-management best practices
    • You are driven to improve business processes and are skilled at implementing new ways of working to support teams in achieving their goals and metrics
    • You have strong leadership and influencing skills, and can manage multiple stakeholders
    • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
    • You are versatile, adaptable and have superior business acumen to support strategic planning and decision making
    • You are results oriented and able to meet tough deadlines in a project management role
    • You have previous experience in a global business environment
    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
    • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
    • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
    • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
    • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

$149,000 - $205,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$205,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
