Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Reporting into the VP, Finance, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for oversight of the Company’s global budgeting and forecasting processes; and partnering with mine sites, development projects, exploration teams and the corporate office to produce insightful financial analysis, analyze business drivers, and identify areas of opportunity and risk. This role will involve significant travel requirement to the Company’s operations.


Primary Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and expertise in FP&A, with a focus on executing short-term and long-term forecasts
  • Lead all global financial planning and analysis activities to support a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Drive quarterly forecasting processes, providing timely insights on financial performance
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop strategic business cases and capital allocation frameworks
  • Champion change management by aligning stakeholders, managing communication, and supporting adoption of new processes
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and implement standardized tools and practices across the organization
  • Oversee the Company’s capital asset management processes, including providing direction to operations and projects teams on preparation of business proposals and allocation of capital
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations for internal stakeholders and the Board of Directors
  • Monitor and evaluate key business drivers and trends to provide actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with Treasury on cash flow forecasting and financing activities
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and Treasury to ensure accurate incorporation of significant transactions in outlook estimates
  • Support investor relations with financial insights to inform market guidance and communication
  • Oversee the implementation of financial systems, tools and financial reporting software


Experience

Preferred
    • Demonstrated success in leading financial transformation initiatives and building frameworks from the ground up.
    • CPA designation or mining engineering degree considered an asset.
    • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation models.
    • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
    • Proven ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
    • Experience with OneStream Planning and/or modern Financial Planning systems.
    • A forward-thinking, strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, change leadership, and impact.
    • Availability to travel (work related travel estimated at 30%-50%)
