We are hiring a full-time Digital Copywriter to research, strategize, write, and refine engaging and results-driven copy across multiple marketing channels such as organic social, lifecycle (email & SMS), and web to help our clients reach and engage with their digital audiences as part of our “Full Circle Approach to Digital Marketing” methodology.
Founded in 2015, we are a 20+ person Shopify Plus digital marketing agency working remotely and based in Toronto. We do everything related to digital marketing including, but not limited to; paid and organic social media, email/SMS marketing and automation, website design & development, influencer marketing, branding and design, Ecommerce & Amazon management, US-based fulfillment, and online customer service, for clients across the world in industry verticals ranging from skincare, apparel, beauty, restaurants, home decor, CPGs, baby products, health and wellness, real estate, accounting, and more.
Some of our clients have been featured in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, Business Insider, GOOP, and are sold in major retail chains like Walmart, Target, and Loblaws, and we even have a client who hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner!
WORK WITH US AND YOU WOULD BE:
- Learning & Leading Subject Matter Expertise: being the go-to person for all things related to social media trends (AKA meme Czar), social platform feature updates, best practices for copywriting, SEO, digital content, and channel-specific nuances (e.g., social media vs. email vs. website copy), and supporting the team with your expertise to effectively provide In Social’s “Full Circle Approach to Digital Marketing” across all client deliverables.
- Owning Channel Success: owning the strategy, planning, and execution of written content for a portfolio of clients, ensuring copy is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for various digital platforms, and being responsible for its contribution to overall client growth and results (e.g., engagement rates, conversion rates).
- Creating, Writing, & Managing Digital Copy Efforts: owning all copywriting deliverables throughout their creation, from strategizing and ideation to drafting, editing, and finalization, working closely with our Design team, our Lifecycle team, our Growth Team, our Strategic Account Manager, our Director of Brand Strategy, and other team members to create the most impactful and effective copy possible to reach and exceed client KPIs. This includes copy for social media, email campaigns, SMS messages, ad creatives, websites, and more.
- Analyzing and Optimizing: working alongside our Digital Performance Analyst, as well as other strategic team members, to analyze the performance of your deliverables, identify opportunities for improvement, and build plans to optimize your efforts for better engagement and results.
- Contributing to the Full Circle Approach: being a team player and collaborating across all service verticals to understand, adapt, strategize, and deliver copy that considers the entire customer journey, in an effort to deliver the best results possible to our clients.
- Continuous Improvement: always improving your skill set, knowledge, and performance through self-development, training courses, webinars, as well as collaborating with, and taking feedback from, our Director of Brand Strategy.
- Task & Time Management: ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed within given budgets and on time, and collaborating with the Project Coordinator to make adjustments to roadmaps if needed.
YOU WILL BE MEASURED AGAINST
- Where applicable, social media metrics such as engagement rate, views, followers, et al. across managed social media channels, email marketing metrics such as open and click rates, SEO related traffic data, and other relevant digital metrics related to your deliverables (quantitative)
- Your ability to be on, or ahead of trends and platform feature updates and bringing new ideas to the table (qualitative)
- Your ability to produce and refine copy within given timelines and budgets (quantitative)
- Your strategic ability to flag/solve problems related to content and messaging (qualitative)
- Your teamwork - everyone relies on each other for success! (qualitative)
TO WORK WITH US YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as a copywriter in a digital marketing capacity
- At least 1-2 years of managing a portfolio of social media channels with tangible results
- At least 1-2 years of other relevant digital copywriting experience such as writing email campaigns/automations, or web content
- Exceptional copywriting skills, specifically for digital channels (e.g., social media, email, web)
- A strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and how copy contributes to overall digital marketing success
- Experience writing for diverse industries and client types
- Examples of how your skills were directly attributed to success in past roles
- An understanding of how to gather and use analytics to inform content strategies
- Exceptional attention to detail and include the code isdc2025 in your cover letter
