Your Opportunity:
Reporting to Manager, Nutrition services and as an integral member of the Home Living and Supportive Living teams, the Dietitian is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care plans for clients, in a multi-disciplinary team setting. The position duties also include providing nutrition consultation to clients with moderate to high-risk nutrition concerns and is a liaison to Nutrition Services for program initiatives and issues.
Description:
As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of two years current experience as a clinical dietitian, with proven clinical and counseling abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multidisciplinary health care teams with inter-disciplinary/inter-sector systems and with community-based services is an asset. Previous experience providing consultative services to health care professionals.
