Reports to: Food Service Supervisor and General Manager
Qualifications:
* Experience in quantity food preparation and service an assett
* Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety
* Safe Food Handling Certificate an assett
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
* Ability to communicate effectively with senior residents and staff.
* Ability to follow through on a job from start to finish, troubleshoot, prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience working with seniors an assett
*Previous experience serving/waitressing an asset
* Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Persons Sector Screen (dated within 10 months prior to employment start date).
* Provide clear TB skin test results (dated within 14 days prior to start of employment).
General Duties:
* Assist Cook with food plating as required
* Departmental and station cleaning
* Order taking, food and beverage service to residents
* Assist with the monitoring of resident presence and eating habits
* Clear and sanitize tables, load and operate dishwasher and complete manual washing as required
* Adhere to established policies and procedures
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent (4 and 8 hr shifts ranging from 6am to 8pm)
Obligation to work every other weekend
