Job Description:
Note: This position is paid at Payband 7.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement & Alumni, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of a fundraising portfolio in conjunction with other members of the Advancement team.
The incumbent also supports the Faculty of Creative Industries as primary contact for all advancement activities, including donor relations, prospect identification, identifying fundraising priorities and donor cultivation and stewardship. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting a prospect list, supporting the faculty in the development of their fundraising priorities and supporting the overall advancement activities of the office.
The incumbent is expected to contribute to the realization of the Fundraising priorities of the office and any future fundraising plans established by the Executive Director, Fanshawe College Foundation.

Duties:
Actively supports a fundraising portfolio for the Faculty of Creative Industries as established in conjunction with the Executive Director of Advancement and the Dean of the Faculty of Creative Industries, including:
Supports a prospect list of identified prospects and works with them to meet mutually agreed upon fundraising targets, meeting goals and project development goals within the Faculty of Creative Industries
In partnership with members of the advancement team, actively supports the Faculty of Creative Industries in the development and approval process of fundraising priorities
As required, works with volunteer groups to support fundraising activities for the Faculty of Creative Industries
Partner with Faculty leadership to actively cultivate, solicit and steward donors
Where appropriate, supports advancement event activities in partnership with the events team in Reputation and Brand Management
Corresponds with assigned donors in a timely manner and ensures all correspondence is properly recorded on the Raisers’ Edge database
Produces other written materials (in draft) as needed, including, but not limited to, correspondence, speaking and meeting notes, funding proposals, and other communication materials as required
Handles confidential donor information in a sensitive and ethical manner
Participates as an effective member of the team
Portfolio Administration
Actively engages with donors to meet call booking targets for meetings
Meets regularly with academic partners in the Faculty of Creative Industries
Completes all Call Reports in a timely fashion and ensures they are filed in accordance with the Advancement office protocols
Contributes to the database development and integrity
Supports Alumni engagement activities in conjunction with the Alumni Relations team
Qualifications :
Post-secondary 2-year diploma in Fundraising, Marketing and Communications or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising required
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with donors, staff, volunteers, external agencies, boards, etc.
Computer experience literacy in MS Office Suite
Experience in Raisers’ Edge software
