Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of desktop support, mobile devices, and various technical tools to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop and mobile devices, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure components such as firewalls, GPOs, and TCP/IP settings.
- Utilize ServiceNow to track incidents and service requests while ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform system updates and patches through SCCM to maintain optimal performance.
- Assist users with software applications including Microsoft Office and other business-critical tools.
- Document technical procedures and create user guides for common issues.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to enhance the overall user experience and improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in desktop support or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including firewalls, GPOs, TCP/IP protocols, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system for incident management.
- Proficient in using SCCM for software deployment and updates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus but not mandatory.
