Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team at Prince of Wales Dental Center in Ottawa. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dental professionals and enhancing patient experiences, contributing directly to our commitment to quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures including dental prophylaxis, fluoride applications, dental impressions and x-ray taking.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using Abeldent software
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support orthodontic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Strong knowledge of orthodontics and dental assisting practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred
- Experience with pediatrics is an asset
