Our holistic team is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Infant Care Provider and Dental Assistant Posting. You will be joining a collaborative team, including a dedicated Established Clinical Assistant, so you'll have support as you share responsibilities and work together.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
For this Full-time position with a condensed 4-day workweek
- Assist with limited dental procedures, soft tissue surgeries, and appliance delivery, including placing composite materials.
- Screening and photographic/video assessment of babies.
- Provide support for the assessment and care including assisting surgical release of tethered oral tissues, particularly when working with babies and new parents.
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using the Oryx dental software program.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Thorough records including photos, set up for CBCT and taking intraoral scans
- Assist with administrative tasks and collaborate with the dental team to ensure an exceptional patient experience from check-in to check-out.
- Contribute to daily practice efficiency through versatile teamwork while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Providing laser treatments with the 1064 laser (following completion of certification training).
Personal Characteristics and Qualifications:
- Dental experience is required for full wage consideration. (Other professional training will be considered, with recognition of training wage window).
- Comfortable working with infants (under 1 year old) and children
- Familiarity with Oryx software is a preferrable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Windows, Google Drive, Word, Excel, and have strong typing skills
- Friendly, welcoming, and compassionate with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in busy situations
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to the ongoing success of the practice
