Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the dental office runs smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in dental software, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area to adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures and provide support for pediatric patients when necessary.
- Utilize CAD technology for creating dental models or assisting in digital impressions as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of orthodontics being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is essential for managing patient records effectively.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is highly desirable.
- Experience in pediatrics or working with children in a dental setting is a plus.

Pay: $23.00-$33.00 per hour
