Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver and Yard Man with a Class 1 license as some equipment deliveries require a class 1 license due to the weight. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of our daily operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Load & Unload equipment, secure loaded equipment per Company procedure and inspect in transit if necessary
- Deliver & Pick up equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery & pick up records
- Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed
- Inform of difficulties with deliveries or pick ups
- Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered
- Communicate with shop if behind schedule, so customers may be notified
- Instruct customers on equipment operation
- If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up, fill out the appropriate forms and get customers signature. Turn in these forms to Manager, along with pick up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to repair area
- Perform & Maintain vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil and other fluids
- Organize equipment in the yard
- Maintain clean physical facilities
- Help load and unload equipment
- Check equipment for damage upon return, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment
- Always willing to offer a helping hand with your co-workers, in all departments
Qualifications and Requirements
- Class 1 License with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points) You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver's abstract upon request
- Familiar with local roads
- Experience moving heavy loads is an asset
- Very customer oriented
- Professional and courteous
- Thrives in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
- Must be available to working on odd Saturdays and on an on-call rotation

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
