TDL is a focused distributor of pet foods, litters, seed products, treats and supplies to the Pet Specialty market. Our customers range from groomers, veterinarians, pet retail stores to feed stores. We are currently hiring an experienced Delivery Driver. If you enjoy a fast paced work environment, are flexible to change and can withstand physical labor we encourage you to apply. Skilled in driving a 5-ton delivery truck and knowledge of the greater Calgary area as well as Southern Alberta region are key components of this position. This position requires the ability to build and maintain good relationships with our customers and knowledge of the pet industry is an asset.
**Please Note - this position starts at $20.000/hour. Please do NOT apply if you are not interested in this starting wage.
Core Responsibilities:
- Making deliveries of pet products to pet stores in the greater Calgary area.
- Making deliveries to Red Deer, Medicine Hat and other areas as needed. (No overnight trips however some days may be 10 hour shifts.)
- Maintaining safety and trip logs.
- Properly maintaining delivery truck.
- Ensuring invoices are received and signed.
- Picking up any damaged or expired product.
- Maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
Skills/Certifications/Licenses/Experience/Education:
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Must provide a clean Drivers Abstract
- 2 year experience driving a 5-ton truck
- For insurance purposes the successful applicant must be at least 25 years of age.
- Forklift training is an asset
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work as a positive part of a team
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to change with the needs of a growing company
