Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle freight efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring all items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of delivery vehicles, including basic automotive repairs when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations is beneficial.
- A valid class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to lift over 100lbs
