The House of Sophrosyne is a Non- Profit Organization that provides a variety of services to clients who struggle with addictions. We currently have services in Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, and Virtual services.
What we are looking for:
Required: Bachelors of Social Work, Masters in Social Work , Social Service Workers,
Recommended: Candidates who are registered or in the process of registering with OCSWSSW
Must be able to administer and direct programs and services for clients who are struggling with substance use.
To provide a variety of delivery methodologies designed to meet the clients’ needs including:
1. Conduct comprehensive intakes and needs assessments with attention to addictions challenges, safety and wellness goals.
2. Support of clients during the intake for the day treatment program, throughout, and after completion of program through aftercare.
4. Facilitation and co-facilitation of the group process
5. Referral to other service providers and resources where appropriate
6. Evaluation of clients’ progress

Strong skills in crisis intervention, problem-solving, communication skills and de-escalation. Computer literate in word processing, data bases and email communications. Demonstrated exposure and knowledge of addiction treatment frameworks, gender based violence, trauma, and the self-help process. Demonstrated comfort working within a trauma informed, harm-reduction model. Demonstrated time management skills. The ability to participate in physical activities, climb stairs, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
