Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and have a passion for creating a welcoming environment. The Day Porter will be responsible for performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas are well-kept and presentable.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all areas within the facility.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained throughout the day.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to keep facilities in optimal condition.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management to address spills or other urgent cleaning needs.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained across all areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving items as needed.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach to identifying cleaning and maintenance needs before they become issues.
