Data Analyst, Registrar’s Office - Job Reference #202507-07
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Registrar, the Data Analyst – Registrar’s Office will:
- Support the integrity, accessibility, and strategic use of student records from each stage of the enrolment funnel through data stewardship, reporting, process automation, and close collaboration with Marketing, Recruitment and Communications and ITS departments as well as other operational or academic units in pursuit of King’s Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) objectives.
- Map and optimize data-related business processes that support the operational functions of the Registrar’s Office.
- Identify and guide the implementation of process or system enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and the student experience as they navigate the enrolment funnel.
- Maintain records in the Student Information System and CRM in support of the Registrar’s Offices’ functions.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of official student data within the Student Information System.
- Using Peoplesoft Query Manager, write queries for different constituents at King’s with a view to supporting their ad-hoc business functions and/or for ITS with a view to supporting automation via the CRM.
- Design and produce recurring and ad hoc reports on enrolment trends, course registrations, academic progress, and retention/ completion rates to support operational and agile decision making in the Registrar’s Office and at King’s more broadly.
- Participate in the technical configuration and rollout of the CRM platform to support institutional initiatives across the entire student lifecycle.
- Build and maintain CRM database structures, including fields, prompts, forms, and queries.
- Serve as the Registrar Offices’ liaison to ITS on CRM programming, upgrades, and integration projects, especially as it relates to the automation or the automation of business processes in the Registrar’s Office and other operational areas that interact with the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications include:
- A College Diploma in Computer Science/ Programming, Statistics, or Related Field.
- Two (2) years of previous relevant experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and at least one business intelligence of visualization tool (e.g. Power BI)
- Experience working with a Student Information System (e.g. PeopleSoft or equivalent).
- PeopleSoft Query Manager and Tableau experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of other Registrarial systems such as InfoSilem, CRM Systems, (Slate and Salesforce), is an asset.
- Understanding of relational data models and data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with data warehousing reporting environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments, including ITS, academic units, and administration.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies as asset.
- Understanding of Canadian privacy legislation (FIPPA, PHIPA) and post secondary data governance best practices.
- Experience with data stewardship or involvement in data governance programs is a strong asset.

Permanent Full-Time – 35 hours per week.

SALARY RANGE:
SSG 9 - $56,989 - $69,434 per annum, dependent on experience
