Job description – Dairy Farm Hand
Part Time/ Student Position
Meadow Lynn Farms is a family-run dairy, crop, strawberry and vegetable operation in Simcoe. We have purebred Jersey cows milking in a robotic milking system.
Meadow Lynn Farms is a Master Breeder with over 75 years working with dairy cows. We believe in cow health and comfort, regenerative agriculture and working together as a farm family.
We are looking for someone to help with morning chores in our dairy barns and facilities.
This position is approximately 4 hours a day in the mornings. With flexible start time in the morning.
Must be available during Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays
Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs
Willing to take coop or students
Tasks include:
- Feeding calves
- Cleaning robotic milking system
- Forking straw & hay, bedding down hutches and pens
- Washing down calf hutches and buckets
- General daily cleaning of milkhouse and barns
- Climbing silos
- Other duties as assigned, tractor experience is a plus
Drivers License is also an asset but not required
Experience working outside or with livestock is an asset but not required.
Must be a Canadian Citizen for this position.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship, Internship / Co-op
Pay: $17.20-$30.08 per hour
