Elite Self Storage is seeking a PART TIME - DAY TIME SHIFTS - 10-24 hours per week Customer Service Rep. The shifts will vary and are DAYTIME shifts. Office hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturdays 10 AM to 4 PM. This person will float between 3 locations in St. Albert, North Edmonton and South Edmonton. This person will be required to work some Saturdays.
The successful candidate will have sales/customer service experience in self storage or otherwise.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers with their storage needs
- Handles all inquiries on the phone, email or in person
- Perform all aspects of the rental process; including following up and closing on inquiries and leads, facility tours, collecting payments, request for information, sales and promotions, cancellations, move-outs, presenting lease agreements and other documentation
- Accurately manage cash and balance end of day activities
- Perform routine inspections of rental units to ensure all units are clean, properly locked and customer-ready
- Performing routine cleaning of office, washrooms, lunchroom, sales floor, units (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and wiping down surfaces and equipment as required)
- Promptly identifying any deficiencies that require maintenance in the facility and bring them to the Facility Manager’s attention
- Troubleshooting of customer issues, with oversight from Management
- Accounts Receivable and performing collection calls
- Managing inventory of boxes and other merchandise, complete merchandise orders as required
- Work alongside your team members to maximize sales, marketing, occupancy, delinquency management of the facility
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with tenants, with the goal of providing superior tenant relations interactions
- Assisting to maintain and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Help with marketing and social media
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Hold a minimum of Grade 12 education
- Sales and customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Outstanding phone disposition
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a small team
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and strong attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational and administrative skills
- Possess an outgoing and friendly personality and project a professional experience
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to handle cash
- Ability to perform physical duties such as but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and wiping down surfaces/equipment
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- A clean criminal record check
