Job Description:
Releasing the Genius is an innovative leader in mathematics, English, and technology education, offering a system of after-school classes for high-performing and gifted students. The mission of our schools is to promote co-operation, inspire confidence, and release the genius in every child. The Curriculum Manager will oversee the development, operations, and quality of all projects undergoing development within the Curriculum Department. This may include, but not limited to, contests, K-12 curriculum, associated teacher material, educational technology, and published material for Spirit of Math (SoM), Spirit of English (SoE), and Spirit of Math (SoM). This role is located at our Head Office in Toronto and is an in-office role.

They have a strong interest in curriculum for high-performing students, how content can be improved, and researching/learning new subject matter. The Curriculum Manager is a life-long learner who aspires to do extra professional development whenever possible.
This person possesses strong interpersonal skills, an ability to follow through and a keen attention to detail. They are highly professional in all aspects of their behavior as they act as a role model for others in the organization. This person values working as a member of a team and understands the role the Curriculum Department plays in the whole Releasing the Genius system.
This person can balance multiple, interdependent priorities. This person should be very confident, perceptive, flexible, and take initiative as needed.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or College. A Bachelor’s in Education or the program subject matter is valued, but not mandatory. Demonstrated grade specific knowledge with 80% -100% on grade specific tests for at least 4 different grades.

Decision-Making Ability:
The successful candidate should be capable of achieving objectives that could take up to five years to complete.

Skilled Knowledge & Experience:
This individual has experience in the education sector, preferably with Spirit of Math. They have acquired a solid understanding of the unique aspects of the SoM approach to learning to be able to apply it to other program and curriculum development. Managerial experience is preferred in education or in content creation and development.
This role requires someone who is aware of trends throughout the larger education community, specifically within gifted education. This person should be able to apply this knowledge while providing curriculum and teaching feedback. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
This role requires comfort and confidence with technology for business and educational use. Specifically, this individual has experience with the administration of learning management systems, using Microsoft Office Suite and should be familiar with or willing to learn the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Adobe InDesign), Microsoft SharePoint and other online systems. This role requires continuous learning of new technologies and how they interact and impact our society.
