Releasing the Genius is an innovative leader in mathematics, English, and technology education, offering a system of after-school classes for high-performing and gifted students. The Curriculum Manager will oversee the development, operations, and quality of all projects undergoing development within the Curriculum Department. This may include, but not limited to, contests, K-12 curriculum, associated teacher material, educational technology, and published material for Spirit of Math (SoM), Spirit of English (SoE), and Spirit of Math (SoM). This role is located at our Head Office in Toronto and is an in-office role.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or College. A Bachelor’s in Education or the program subject matter is valued, but not mandatory. Demonstrated grade specific knowledge with 80% -100% on grade specific tests for at least 4 different grades.

This individual has experience in the education sector, preferably with Spirit of Math. They have acquired a solid understanding of the unique aspects of the SoM approach to learning to be able to apply it to other program and curriculum development. Managerial experience is preferred in education or in content creation and development.
This role requires someone who is aware of trends throughout the larger education community, specifically within gifted education. This person should be able to apply this knowledge while providing curriculum and teaching feedback. This role requires exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
This role requires comfort and confidence with technology for business and educational use. Specifically, this individual has experience with the administration of learning management systems, using Microsoft Office Suite and should be familiar with or willing to learn the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Adobe InDesign), Microsoft SharePoint and other online systems. This role requires continuous learning of new technologies and how they interact and impact our society.
Accountabilities:
The Curriculum Manager will report directly to the Director of Learning and Development and is accountable for:
- Ensuring the success and maintenance of brand standards for all curriculum content created and its delivery, during all stages of research, testing, and launch.
- Tracking and analyzing feedback data to determine validity for curriculum programs or products.
- Assisting team members with client and user concerns, as needed.
- Ensuring timely completion of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on their job scorecard, tasks, goals, and deadlines.
- Creating, tracking, and documentation of accurate departmental and direct reports’ KPI’s, goals and deadlines.
- Initiating, coordinating, creating, reviewing, and implementing all operational systems and/or procedures related to all curriculum products and associated content.
- Collect, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative data relevant to the programs as well as research and any other relevant feedback.
- Maintaining policies and procedures to promote success of the department.
- Hiring, managing, appraising, coaching, and deselecting all roles reporting to this role.
- Provide content and personnel feedback for all curriculum programs and products.
- Organizing, planning, and delivering training and information sessions related to all operational and educational processes for all departmental products/programs.
- Review and approve all content created by the Curriculum Department.
This Curriculum Manager has the following key responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Learning and Development to determine the strategic goals of the department.
- Ensure the projects are completed on time and accurately managed through the implementation of project tracking while maintaining brand standards.
- Maintain and tracking the budgeting process and approvals for the department.
- Ensure and maintain brand consistency and quality of all released content and material (content for classes, contests, programs, P&Ps, operation manuals, LMS, etc.)
- Initiate and supervise projects that relate to the SoM/SoE/SoT curriculum for K to 12 and any associated materials for adult learners (e.g. Teachers, Principals, Campus Administrators, etc.)
- Assist in creating, editing, or delivering curriculum in collaboration with the team.
- Develop systems and surveys to assess and obtain quantitative and qualitative data on the quality and efficiency of all content and programs.
- Research, review, and identify potential improvements to curriculum content through validation classes, collaboration, and controlled experiments.
- Manage and/or review online systems for registration, grading, data collection, analysis, and support.
- Create and/or review marketing communication and content regarding curriculum programs, as necessary.
- Contribute to projects from the Learning and Development Department as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and HQ clients as needed to ensure smooth operations for all content and programs.
- Keep up and contribute to professional development as needed.
- Attending and contributing to the annual conference.
- Other tasks as required by the business.
