Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Underwriter/Credit Risk Analyst who will be pivotal in supporting safe business growth by directly assessing credit applications and auditing customer contracts in our residential, commercial, and dealer portfolios. This role will also take ownership of the full review, approval, and case management process for a robust volume of loan decisions.
This is a hands-on adjudication role, balancing risk mitigation with business enablement. You’ll interact daily with sales and operations teams, ensuring our credit underwriting standards are rigorously maintained while supporting the success of the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Review and decision dealer, commercial, and residential credit applications: gather supporting information, conduct comprehensive risk assessment, and communicate clear onboarding decisions.
- Conduct daily audits of residential HVAC contract submissions, identifying and escalating agreements not meeting credit guidelines.
- Manage workflow by creating, actioning, and closing cases in our CRM system—always within organizational credit parameters.
- Collaborate closely with sales and operations to address credit-related enquiries and provide solution-focused guidance.
- Respond promptly to the credit inbox, ensuring all communications align with corporate policy and triaging exceptions to the Credit Risk Manager.
- Participate in special projects, process improvements, and team initiatives as directed.
- Uphold high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service in all interactions.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in credit underwriting, loan adjudication, or hands-on credit decision making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and strong comfort with CRM or case management systems.
- Data-driven, detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management; proven ability to meet daily/weekly targets.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills—able to convey decisions clearly and professionally to both internal and external stakeholders
Assets
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation, or in progress.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Familiarity with HVAC, home services, or asset-backed lending sectors.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
