Do you hold a valid cosmetology or nail technology license? Are you looking for full-time employment at a salon that offers guaranteed base wages plus commission? There will be opportunities to earn bonuses and benefits like health insurance and continuing education will be added as we grow.
Our ideal candidate will have an active occupational license in good standing and will share our strong commitments to promptness, professionalism, and client safety.
There is plenty of opportunity to earn more or progress into managerial duties if this is the path you would like to take.
- We strongly believe stylists and technicians should spend their time at work doing what they love, so your job duties will include performing services. There will be additional duties to ensure the salon environment is maintained to certain standards to ensure client safety.
- We provide all implements and products. You will never be charged arbitrary fees for supplies or “redos.”
- We follow the law and contribute to our employees’ taxes like all good employers should. Our employees are just that—employees. (That means NO contractors!)

How important is skill level/experience? Not crazy important. We greatly prioritize hard-working applicants with positive attitudes, regardless of their skill level.
The two salons have different service offerings:
- Surrey we are a full service hair salon and looking for a new stylist or barber to join the team. There are five stylists that offer a range of services from cut, colour and extensions. Makeup services are being offered on an appointment basis only.
- Burnaby will be geared towards hair (cut, extensions, head spa, express root touch up), lash, nails and mini facials. The business model will be different as it will be offered as a la carte and monthly subscription services.

Schedule: flexible. The hours at Surrey are Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 6pm and Burnaby will be noon to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday. One weekend shift is mandatory in the beginning of your employment.
Compensation:
salary + commission or commission only for services, based on experience (will equal $25 to $35 per hour when taking tips are included)
100% cash tips provided
retention bonuses will be given every 6 months
10% commission on retail products
