Prowse Barrette LLP is an established mid-sized law firm located in the heart of downtown Edmonton. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to join the corporate division. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and revise corporate documents including incorporations, amendments, annual returns, minute books, share transactions, and related filings.
- Maintain and organize corporate records to ensure compliance with regulatory and filing requirements.
- Assist with incorporations, extra-provincial registrations, continuances, dissolutions, and other corporate transactions.
- Conduct and review corporate searches
- Manage and track filing deadlines, annual returns, and minute book updates.
- Coordinate and communicate with lawyers, clients, and government agencies regarding corporate filings and documentation.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, file management, billing preparation, and correspondence.
- Supporting multiple lawyers with their corporate law practices
Other Requirements:
- CORES Level II required; however, candidates with CORES Level I and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, ALF, CORES, CLIO
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Excellent project management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Competent in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
