Job Summary
Manage and oversee the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of The Dirty Apron Cooking School. This will include managing, coaching, motivating and training staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives.
The Cooking School FOH & Private Events Manager oversees cooking school FOH scheduling, management of labor costs, budgets, inventory control, Social Media, the hiring and training of cooking school FOH staff, as well as the scheduling, booking, and planning of private and corporate events at the cooking school.
The Cooking School FOH & Private Events Manager demonstrates outstanding leadership, superior judgment, decision-making, and commitment to the success of The Dirty Apron Cooking School & Delicatessen.
Job Requirements
- Assists in creating and maintaining the highest levels of personal and team productivity with enthusiasm, and commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Recruits, trains, develops, motivates and coaches department staff; conducts performance reviews where appropriate, and provides regular feedback, including administering corrective actions
- Supports, promotes and implements all company policies, initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures and ensures department staff comply and use them effectively
- Demonstrates growth in product knowledge, including awareness of product changes, promotions, and seasonal trends and cooking classes in store and online.
- Maximizes sales and margins while controlling wage and supply costs to meet budget expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Manages Private & Corporate events for the cooking school by being the contact person for inquiries and planning, ensuring positive and accommodating communication with the event organizer, as well as accurate scheduling, planning, staffing, invoicing and processing of payments.
- Responsible for the informative, creative, and frequent use of social media on behalf of the company.
- In-house graphic design as assigned by owners, or in direct connection with projects, whether assigned or in scope of regular responsibilities.
Status
Full-time, salaried management position. 45 Hour Work Week. Reports to Owners.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
