Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Preparing snacks and lunch for toddlers and Preschoolers
· Ability to cook meals and bake from scratch.
· Must be able to make lunches accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies.
· Keep a clean and organized kitchen to Public Health Standards
· Clean and sanitize kitchen and general areas
· Deliver and collect lunch/snack trays to and from all classrooms
· Maintain regular inventory of equipment and supplies
· Maintain appropriate temperatures of food and maintain a log
· Order groceries in consultation with the supervisor
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
· Works with a positive attitude and as a team player
· Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel, bend, lift and stand for extended periods.
. Assist in the Preschool and Toddler Rooms to provide age appropriate programming and provide overall supervision and care.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
· CPR and First Aid Level C
· Current Vulnerable Sector Check
· Up to date immunization record
· Negative TB test
· Food Handlers Certification
· Effective communication skills
Ability to operate standard kitchen appliances.
Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide
