Continuous Improvement Specialist

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste, and cost reduction
• Planning, facilitating and executing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodology
• Creating a culture of improvement by encouraging suggestions and implementing improvements
• Ensure DCs deliver world-class customer service through operational excellence
• Drive constant improvement in the distribution process
• Ownership of change initiatives from evolution through to project delivery
• Work closely with DCs to provide them with the necessary tools required to operate efficiently and to grow the business profitably
• Create and maintain the foundation for standard work for business processes
• Develop and maintain training materials for processes
• Develop and maintain SOPs for operational processes
• Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and sustainability
• Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures
• Ensure that DCs maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Company policies and procedures

• Requires a minimum 10 years’ experience in a Distribution environment
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a Distribution continuous improvement environment. i.e., WMS, automation, DC processes, project management
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S
• Experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices
• Experience in successfully implementing changes in an organization
• Strong communication, active listening and influencing skills
• Proven ability to embrace and encourage teamwork
• Ability to create and implement new directions in an effort to lead the region to achieve its full potential
• Possess effective planning, organizing and delegating skills
• Must be able to commute daily to our Woodbridge, ON facility
• Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time (Once a month, sometimes twice a month)

• University degree or college diploma required
