About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated Construction Procurement Coordinator to join our expanding team.

Core responsibilities include:

1. Supplier Sourcing and Selection:

· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, contractors, and vendors.

· Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

2. Material Procurement:

· Plan and execute the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services based on project requirements.

· Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to prevent shortages.

3. Cost Management:

· Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure projects stay within budget.

· Identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing, negotiation, or alternative sourcing.

4. Quality Control:

· Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and safety standards.

· Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues related to material quality.

5. Contract Management:

· Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

· Ensure that contracts are compliant with legal and company requirements.

6. Supply Chain Management:

· Manage the flow of materials from suppliers to construction sites.

· Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.

· Generate reports on procurement activities and costs for management review.

8. Risk Management:

· Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations.

9. Compliance and Regulations:

· Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

· Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.

10. Team Collaboration:

· Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.

· Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues and maintain a smooth procurement process.

Requirements:

1. Excellent communication and time management skills.

2. Self-starter and organizer.

3. Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

4. Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.

5. Proven experience in construction coordination or supply chain management

6. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry standards

7. Proficient in using computer software for inventory management and procurement tracking

8. Valid driver’s licence is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
