Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Construction & Installations Carpenter/Labourer at our Homes by Lake Country Co-op site in Prince Albert, SK. We are looking for energetic and motivated Carpenters, 1st. 2nd, 3rd year or equivalent, with experience in construction carpentry and experience on a construction site to work under a Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter.

- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
- Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
- Assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites.
- Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas.
- Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades.
- Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
- Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service:
- You have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety).
- You have an eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish.
- You are able to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- You must be physically fit, willing to learn, and are driven to excel in your position.
- You must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- You are willing to obtain the required safety tickets; valid first aid, Fall protection, Aerial lift, and Telehandler certification is an asset.
- A carpentry certificate or any of the levels of carpentry technical/apprenticeship process or provincial Journeyperson status is an asset.
- You are well organized and able to work independently and with supervision.
- You are honesty and trustworthy, are results-oriented, attentive to detail and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You can lift, load, carry and hold products – extensive physical labour typical of residential and commercial construction site is required.
- You have knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry.
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends.
- You are available for intermittent day travel and intermittent overnight travel.
