Overview
We are seeking a kind and caring person with a good sense of humour to be a companion/caregiver to a gentleman in a carehome to go out for walks, engage in meaningful conversations and activities. Visits would be once a week for 3 hours.
Skills
- Strong background in senior care or caregiving.
- Knowledge of traumatic brain injury or dementia care techniques and strategies for effective communication.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to build rapport with client.
- Must be able to transfer the gentleman into your own vehicle from his wheelchair and be able to lift the wheelchair into your car (he is a tall man)
