RAPS is Seeking a part time community access worker assist an individual with a speech delay (E2)
Location: Rural Edmonton (Approx. 25 mins East of Edmonton: East side of Elk Island Park)
Days/Hours: Thursday, Friday and occasional Saturday Daytime 7/8 hours daily
_ 14-24 hours a week. _
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: to mentoring everyday life skills, supporting client on community outings, incorporating engaging activities (watching hockey, thrifting, garage sales), initiating volunteer opportunities, job coaching, supervision, and companionship.
Qualifications and Other Requirements: The successful candidate must have a clear criminal record check containing the vulnerable sector, experience working with developmental disabilities, and have a valid driver’s license/vehicle. The ideal candidate will remain a positive role model, and be motivated to enhance the client’s well-being. Having experience with a Nova Chat communication device considered an asset.
Rate of Pay: $20.00 hour
