What you’ll do
You will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help improve communication, speech and language of assigned pediatric clients, most of them being on the autism spectrum. You will work in a collaborative and well-equipped setting designed to help both clients and professionals grow.
How you will make an impact
- You will work with clients individually and carry out treatment plans and activities, as developed by the supervising SLP;
- You will prepare therapy materials, visuals, and communication supports;
- You will collect and document client data and provide feedback to the supervising SLP;
- You will educate and support families and caregivers in practicing communication strategies;
- You will collaborate with other professionals as required to align plans, goals, and progress for a holistic approach to care;
- You will attend team meetings and interdisciplinary consultations;
- You will maintain productivity targets.
What You Bring
- You hold a Communicative Disorders Assistant graduate certificate from a recognized program;
- You have experience supporting children with communication needs;
- You are available to work weekdays (10am to 6pm) AND Saturdays (9am to 5pm);
- You are confident working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic clinic setting;
- You have experience in private practice or multidisciplinary clinic environments;
- Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum is an asset.
