Job Summary
Do you love working in a kitchen environment where quality and consistency are key? Sorrentino's Caffe 109th St is looking for a full-time Commissary Cook to join our central kitchen team. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to helping us prepare and distribute fresh, high-quality food to all our restaurant locations across Edmonton.
Responsibilities
- Prepare large batches of sauce, soups, pastas, and other menu items according to set recipes.
- Labelling, packaging, and organizing food items for delivery to restaurants.
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
- Working efficiently in a team environment to meet daily production goals.
- Assisting with inventory rotation and kitchen organization.
- Assist with kitchen clean-up and organization.
- General kitchen stewardship duties.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of kitchen experience preferred (commissary or production kitchen a bonus).
- Basic knife skills and the ability to follow recipes.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Fluent in English.
- Willing to work as an effective team member.
