One is to develop and deliver meaningful, innovative and engaging educational programs that teach essential life skills and create a positive impact on program participants, their families and their communities. Extra Ed is currently seeking energetic, creative and collaborative teachers to join our team of program leaders.
Responsibilities
- Teaching groups of school-age students in schools and community centres across the GTA
- Prepare for program delivery by attending paid training sessions, organizing teaching materials, performing light administrative tasks and other preparatory duties
- Be responsible for the safety and well-being of program participants
- Provide customer service to participants' families
- Maintain excellent customer relations with hosting facilities
- Contribute to the development of program curricula, in collaboration with other team members
- Assist in the delivery of programs
- Potentially work at Extra Ed’s day camps and special events.
Requirements
- OCT accreditation is a strong asset
- Teaching experience is an asset
- Tutoring experience is a strong asset
- Awareness of the Ontario Common Curriculum for relevant subjects
- Training, experience and awareness of teaching accommodations for students with behavioural, communicational, intellectual, physical, or multiple exceptionalities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional and punctual
