Job Title: Coater Operator
Shifts:
Evenings: Monday – Friday 2:30 pm – 10:45 pm
Nights: Sunday - Thursday 10:30 pm to 6:45 am
Job Location: Duha Color Services Winnipeg (750 Bradford St. Winnipeg, MB)
General Job Description:
The Coater Operator works under the Department Manager and Coating Coordinator. The Coater Operator is responsible for setting up and monitor the application of color to paper in the production process, ensuring production requirements are met and any issues are communicated effectively. Follow all safety procedures, understand all safety equipment, and adhere to company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the coater head and operate the coating machine according to the docket information.
- Monitor the quality and make adjustments to the coater/coating as required during the run.
- Assist with roll changes.
- Refill color pots during the run.
- General maintenance of the coater machine.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other departmental duties or tasks as required.
Job Qualification and Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management capabilities with the ability to multitask.
- Self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Lifting up to 20 kg pails (unassisted).
- Adhere to company safety policies.
- Proficient English
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Level 12 G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment
