We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Setup Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate milling machines for production runs based on engineering specifications.
- Operate milling machines to produce parts with precision and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on milling equipment.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the setup process.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure production goals are met.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including setup sheets and quality checks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in training new employees on machine setup and operation as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in machining processes, with experience in operating milling machines.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers for precise measurements.
- Experience with Fanuc controls or similar controls is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
