CNC Machinist - Mills and Lathes
Wage range: $25-34
Shift available: Afternoon: 4:30pm – 3:00am (Mon – Thurs) *10% Shift Premium*
NOTE: Must be available for training during the Day Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. This position will report to the General Foreman.

What you will do:
- Read and understand blueprints, study specifications, drawings to determine the required machining operations
- Reads and interprets work orders, set programs and operates CNC lathes and mills
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary
- Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the costs, quality and schedule expectations for all customers
- Check parts for defects, maintains and repairs equipment as required
- Operate various machine shop equipment and tools safety, including some or all of the following: Lathes, Mills, Boring Mills, Drills, Saws and Machining centres
- Safety conscious with full participation in the safety program and all safety requirements
- Other duties as required
Your qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years related experience
- Experience machining steel
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming at the machine
- Demonstrated knowledge of Fanuc controllers
- Proficient in the use of all tools common to the machine shop environment
- Experience using CAD/CAM software is an asset, specifically Mastercam
- Red Seal Ticket is an asset
