We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify the accuracy and quality of manufactured parts. This position demands a strong grasp of precision measurement techniques, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The CMM Operator will be essential in upholding our quality assurance standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CMM equipment using GEOPACK, COSMOS, and CAT 1000 software
- Perform high-precision inspection and measurement of machined components using tools such as thread gauges, height gauges, verniers, bore gauges, micrometers, and protractors
- Interpret and work from engineering blueprints with a solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards
- Utilize JobBOSS software to scan jobs and complete inspection documentation
- Accurately record and maintain measurement data
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in CMM programming and operation with a strong foundation in GD&T
- Competency in using measurement instruments for tight-tolerance inspections
- Familiarity with .NET, SQL, MySQL, AWS, Azure, and Linux is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred
- Knowledge of C# programming and working with APIs is advantageous
- Background in quality control or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with technical drawings and specifications
