Northwood is currently accepting applications for Client Support Assistant (CSA) to work at our Bedford campus.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Support Services and Manager, Support Services the CSA assists residents with meals and between-meal refreshments, while ensuring the residents’ needs are being met.
Responsibilities:
- Cooks and serves meals
- Cleans kitchen and dining room
- Assists residents with meals and between-meal refreshments
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas
- Provides meal service according to the client's individual diet
- Supports the client in adhering to special diet requirements as prescribed by the Clinical Dietitian
- Requests and accommodates client’s individual choices whenever possible
- Plans meals with the clients, House/ Unit Team, and the Department of Food Service
- Cleaning of resident rooms and related spaces
Qualifications:
- One to six months of relevant work experience
- Housekeeping, dietary, or personal care experience is considered an asset
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Food Safety Certificate required
- Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset
- WHMIS certificate is considered an asset
- Long term care experience is considered an asset
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Must be able to lift 20lbs at a time, in good general health, and able to endure the day-to-day pressure of the position
Hours of Work: Casual ( 10 and 12 Hour Shifts ) Days/Evenings
